rock island high schoolWelcome to the Rock Island-Milan School District! Our mission is to educate for individual student success. 

Rock Island-Milan School District #41 currently consists of 8 neighborhood elementary schools, 1 elementary magnet school, 2 junior high schools, 1 high school, 1 alternative junior/senior high school, one special needs preschool, and the Head Start program.
 
Families who are new to our district may enroll their child at the individual school. If you are unsure of what school boundary you are in, check the boundary map >>

Parents/guardians must enroll their child in person at the appropriate location. To enroll a student at Rock Island High School, please call the registrar at 309-793-5950 x2010. Visit the high school site >>

Kindergarten/First Grade Entrance Age

Children who are five years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year will be permitted to enter kindergarten. Children who are six years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year will be permitted to enter first grade.
 
What do parents and guardians need to bring? 
 
A proof of residency form must be completed. Parents/guardians must bring 2 items of proof of residency. Proof of Residency Form (PDF) below. 
 
New students and new Kindergarten students must bring: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Illinois physical and immunization record, Current Copy of IEP if available.
 
Returning students must bring: Proof of address, such as utility bill or water bill (address must be printed on the bill). Cell phone bills are unacceptable.
Medical Information

All children entering the school district from out of state need to present proof of up-to-date immunizations and a school physical within 30 days of school entrance. No medication can be given in the schools (including over the counter and prescription medications) without written permission from the doctor and guardian. Registration Fees  
 
  • Elementary K-6: $55
  • Junior High: $55
    Sports Fee Grades 7-8: $20
  • High School: $70 Driver's Ed: $100
    Sports Fee 9-12: $30 per sport

New Students Must Bring
