On Dec. 6 Rock Island Center for Math and Science students and staff filled the gymnasium for a special assembly. 

 

Every year the school holds a pie-throwing Fundraiser for Toys for Tots. Students could purchase a ticket for a chance to pie a teacher. If their name got called they got to pick a pie. If the bottom of the pie didn't have an "X" on it they could pie a teacher but if it did have an "X" on it the student then got to be pied by the teacher!

 

The school raised $480 for Toys for Tots!
