The RIMSD #41 Superintendent Dr. Reginald Lawrence and Cabinet staff, along with other well-wishers rolled out the red carpet on Wednesday, August 3 for staff, students and parents of the Rock Island Academy. 

 

"It has been a great tradition for us, and it's something that makes the First Day memorable for everyone," said Superintendent Dr. Lawrence.

 

Rock Island Academy Principal Tom Ryan was happy to see students return to the classroom. "Our main focus is getting students back to the bottom line of learning, and being mindful that when they need supports, we are there to help them with the resources that they need," said Ryan. "It's a balance some days, but our staff are all here to help our students succeed."
