  • Learn from home with the QC Botanical Center - Create your own little ecosystem at home with this how-to guide on terrarium building with Mr. Greg. Check in with the Qc Botanical each weekday at noon for education time with Mr. Greg  on their Facebook Page
  • Virtual Zoo 2U -  Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Niabi Zoo posts share animal tales, encounters with many of our animal family members, conservation actions, zookeeper chats and so much more online!
  • Fresh Films Video Challenge -  Fresh Films is offering students in grades 5-12 a free opportunity to learn how to make a 30-second PSA video encouraging Quad City residents to fill out the U.S. Census for their chance to win a mobile filmmaking kit. Fresh Films provides lessons to help complete their project with just a smartphone.

Rock Island Public Library Library 2 Go Schedule! Check the schedule below ( or download a PDF here ) to find out when the Mobile Library is visiting a school! Parental approval is needed for library card applicants under 17. An application can be sent home with a student, and they can bring it back to the Mobile Library (or our Downtown/Southwest locations). For more information visit
