The district has a robust, high-speed fiber, 1GBps wide-area network (WAN) between each school building that leads to the high school where a 10GBps fiber connection pipes data to the Internet.

 

The vast majority of the district's devices connect to the network wirelessly via a Ubiquiti Unifi Wireless Local-Area Network (802.11ac) that began installation in 2021 and will be fully deployed by the end of 2023. We will also be replacing all of the district network switches in 2023 to the Ubiquiti product line, for standardization and security purposes. 

 

We have focused on ensuring all educator classrooms have the ability to wirelessly present for audio/visual display, or have a smartboard device to enhance the educational opportunities for the students. All students are provided with a Chromebook device and can connect to the district's wireless signal in the buildings.

 

The district maintains its Children's Internet Protect Act (CIPA) compliance by providing premise-based and off-site content filtering. While staff and student devices are on-site, the district's Palo Alto Firewall provides content filtering services.  All student-issued Chromebooks and protected off-site via GoGuardian content filtering services.
