RAMP Award

Earlier this school year, Rock Island Academy proudly earned the Recognized American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Model Program (RAMP) designation. This July, Mrs. Amy Zero will represent the Rock Island-Milan community at the ASCA 2025 Annual Conference, where Rock Island Academy will be honored during a special ceremony.

About the RAMP designation:

The RAMP designation honors schools dedicated to implementing a data-driven school counseling program based on The ASCA National Model: A Framework for School Counseling Programs.

The 2025 RAMP cohort has an acceptance rate of 80%, with 190 schools across 29 states receiving this distinguished national recognition. Since the program’s inception, nearly 1,600 schools nationwide have earned this prestigious honor. School counselors at RAMP-designated schools effectively demonstrate how their work positively influences student achievement, attendance, and discipline, while aligning their efforts with school and district goals.
