A message to families from Dr. Lawrence about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and students returning to school on January 19, 2021.

well hello Rock island-milan School Community dr. Lawrence the superintendent with a special message to all of our parents students start of our second half the year Tuesday January 19th we will be transitioning back into a blended model bubble for that Monday January 18th is dr. Martin Luther King Jr's birthday so I would ask that the families use this as a time of service it will be a number of different activities and events that are virtual television said he stood for Easter for benevolence and he also stood for working together regardless of our colors or Alyssa t-bar religion you still treat people fairly and so I'm going to ask that to you take that special day and take some special time with you too and now we get into January 19th but there's definitely a lot of important things that we need your help with parents make sure that all of our children come to school with their massell because you will be home after 1 want to make sure that our children are washing hands and hand sanitizer to keep surfaces clean cuz we want to work against Kofi thirdly we are going to ensure that we continue to use 6-foot social distancing and and we'll ask parents if your children are healed please keep them home I want to make sure that once our doors open on the 19th they remain open we hope to get through the end of the year so as you get prepared over the weekend think about it you need talk to you children let them know that we'll be back in session and are welcome you with open arms on January 19th so again thank you for being part of Rock island-milan School District 41 House Rocks
