Rock Island High School and SPARK (Suicide Prevention And Resilient Kids) proudly invite Rocky Alumnae, Miss Iowa 2018 and Mental Health Advocate Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw to share her story of HOPE with students and faculty.
There will be two 45 minute student assemblies in the Auditorium, followed by a Meet and Greet Reception from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. The Meet and Greet is hosted by the Rocky Riveters Club.
"How About H.O.P.E." stands for Helping Others & Providing Encouragement and is a campaign designed to create and sustain conversation surrounding mental health and suicide. "Through sharing stories, artistic expression, advocacy and awareness, we can create a knowledgeable and understanding community. Your voice and your story matter." ~ Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw
