Young entrepreneurs at Rock Island High School are preparing for their first PITCH NIGHT on
Wednesday, May 17th. The PITCH NIGHT is modeled after the ABC TV series "Shark Tank."
teams of students will serve their best product or service pitch to a panel of judges who will give awards for the Best Pitch, Best Business Idea and Best Overall. Potential investors will also be present that evening and could step up and offer to buy in or fund one of the new ventures. The winning team will be awarded $5000.00.

The Rock Island High School INCubatoredu Entrepreneur and Enterprise class officially
launched on the first day of school last year. In the last 9 months, Trish Matson, instructor for
the INCubatoredu Entrepreneur class, hopes that parents, other students, and business leaders in the community come to hear the student groups pitch their products. “This night will be a great chance for investors to learn about some great business opportunities with a lot of
potential.”

The event is free and open to the public.
