Due to power outages from the storm earlier this morning, three schools are dismissing at 10:15 a.m.: Rock Island Academy (930 14th Street Rock Island); Eugene Field Elementary (2900 31st Avenue) and Washington Junior High School (3300 18th Avenue Rock Island).

 

Parents are to make arrangements to pick up their child(ren) from the schools. 

 

It is expected that power will be restored and school will resume as normal tomorrow, Thursday, August 12.
