The Rock Island/Milan School District #41 would like to welcome Beth Marsoun as its new Communications Director. Ms. Marsoun will be replacing long-time Communications Director Holly Sparkman upon her retirement on May 12, 2023. 

Ms. Marsoun is a 1999 graduate of Rock Island High School with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. For nearly 14 years, she worked her “first” career in the newsroom at KWQC, as the 10 o’clock producer, Executive Producer, and News Director. She comes to us after serving as the Communication Director and Foundation Secretary for the Pleasant Valley Community School District.
