Student Registration

2021-2022 School Year
The Rock Island-Milan School District #41 will be fully open for the 2021-2022 school year on the first day of school, Monday, August 2, five days per week for the full school day. Fall sports and extracurricular activities will take place in accordance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois Department of Health (IDPH) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) health and safety mandates. 
Online registration is open for the 2021-2022 school year in the Rock Island - Milan School District!
RIMSD is using a new student information system called Skyward. All parents/guardians will be able to view student information from the parent portal called Family Access. If you received a username and password you can login to Skyward or review the quick Parent Guide!  >>
New Families:
Online registration is now open for *NEW families enrolling their students into the Rock Island - Milan School District. To begin your registration(s), click on the link below:
*A new family means you have not had a child enrolled in the district in the past. This includes if you have left the district and are returning. 
Returning Families:
For students returning to the district, parents/guardians will be receiving an *email to set up your new Family Access account, which allows you to begin the registration process for any student in the family.
*Emails will begin rolling out from beginning June 8th and continuing through June 15th.
Tutoring Request for Home Instruction
There is no Remote Learning option available. Remote Learning is ONLY available for students who medically qualify. Requirements are:
  • student is ineligible for a vaccine or not vaccinated;
  • AND student is under district required quarantine.
A Tutoring Request for Home/Hospital Instruction form must be completed for Remote Learning in RIMSD #41.
In-person registration for ALL schools in RIMSD will be held at the Rock Island High School Fieldhouse. 
  • Wednesday, July 14: Rock Island High School students ONLY, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. 
  • Thursday, July 15: All Schools, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. 
  • Friday, July 16: All Schools, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Children who are five years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year will be permitted to enter kindergarten. Children who are six years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year will be permitted to enter first grade.
New students, including new kindergarten students, must bring: Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Illinois physical and immunization record, a current copy of IEP (if available). Parents must also complete a proof of residency form and bring 2 items of proof of residency. Proof of Residency Form (PDF) below. 
Medical Information

All children entering the school district from out of state need to present proof of up-to-date immunizations and a school physical within 30 days of school entrance. No medication can be given in the schools (including over the counter and prescription medications) without written permission from the doctor and guardian. Registration Fees  
  • Early Childhood SE: $40
  • Elementary K-6: $55
  • Junior High: $55
    Sports Fee Grades 7-8: $35 - one-time fee
  • High School: $70 Driver's Ed: $100
    Sports Fee 9-12: $45 per sport - one-time fee
