Volunteering
Head Start and Preschool for All parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom!
Snack & Share Parent Support Group
Develop nurturing parenting skills through 1.5 hour sessions that meet once a week for six weeks. Snacks and child care are provided. Classes are held at Horace Mann in the fall and spring in our Community Intake Room.
Head Start Parent Center Meetings
Topics for monthly Center Meetings are driven by family goals. Center Meetings are usually the third Thursday of the month from 9-10am at Horace Mann in our Community Intake Room. Snacks and child care are provided.
Family Engagement Events
Family engagement events are scheduled throughout the school year. Events are usually from 4-6pm and the entire family is encouraged to attend.
Head Start Policy Council
Our Policy Council meets on a monthly basis to provide updates on the program and have parents participate in program decision-making. Please see our Policy Council page for more information. If you are interested, please contact your Family Service Worker or Parent Coordinator for more information.
Head Start Parent Ambassadors
Parent Ambassadors are parents of Head Start children who want to advocate for Head Start in the community, impacting policy and change at the state and national levels.
